Assignment Description
Lesson Overview:
In this lesson, students will begin studying figure drawing as part of Unit 5: Form & Figure.
We will learn how artists draw the human figure using simple shapes and basic proportions.
Students will practice drawing figures in their sketchbooks using graphite pencils and light shading to help figures look more three-dimensional. Most of the class will be dedicated to guided studio practice with teacher support.
This is a fully in-class lesson with no homework (Unless they would like to get started on their unit project at home).
