Love (From God+For God)

God loved us first 

1. John 4:19 “ We love because He first loved us” 
2. Before we ever knew Him, God loved us first

What God’s Love is Like

1. Romans 5:8 “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us”

1. 1. God loves us even when we make mistakes.
2. 2. God doesn’t stop loving us when we mess up.
3. 3. God’s love doesn’t depend on you being perfect

1. *God loves you on your best days and your worst days.

God Shows His Love 

1. John 3:16 “God so loved the world that He gave His only Son.”

1. 1. God showed His love by giving Jesus (He acted on His love, not just saying He loves us.)
2. 2. Love means doing something, not just saying something

1. Example: When someone shares with you, they’re showing love - not just saying it.

Our Love Back to God

1. John 14:15 “ If you love me, you will keep my commandments.”

1. 1. We show love to God by obeying him
2. 2. Obeying God can be hard - but it brings Him joy. 

1. When we obey God, we’re saying “I love You” with our actions.

Call to Action

1. This week, show God love by obeying Him right away.

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for your love for me. Thank you that you love me even when I mess up. Help me to show my love for you through obeying your commandments.
