Speech Topic
“A Career”
(Examples: firefighter, police officer, ballerina, teacher, athlete, etc.)

Speech Length
2–3 minutes

Your Speech Must Include
-A hook at the beginning
-Three Big Ideas
-An outline (keywords or pictures — no full sentences)
-A strong ending (connect back to your hook OR ask the audience to act)
-Clear volume
-Tree posture (stand tall and still)
-Eye contact
-A 3-second pause before you begin

Practice Expectations
-Practice your speech at least 4 times
-Use your Roadmap and Outline pages
-Check off your practice boxes
-Try to memorize your key points, not every word

The goal is not to be perfect. The goal is to be clear, confident, and prepared. Every week, these skills get easier and stronger.
