Assignment Description
Use the attached document to assess your student’s knowledge of the phonograms. Using the “ 72 Phonograms” sheet as a reference to ensure you are saying all the sounds correctly. While your student has a blank sheet of paper, say all the sounds of the letter. Your student should repeat the sounds you said and write the letter they think it represents. Once you complete the entire sheet of letters with your student writing and repeating the sounds, correct it together. With a white board or blank paper, write the letter and sounds of each letter. Your student should repeat after you and compare their answer. If it is wrong, they should cross it out with a single strike (no erasing) and write the correct letter. The missed letters will be used for focused practice the rest of the week. Practice these every day, even Tuesday and Thursday. A 15 minute practice is highly effective!
