Faith
Grew up catholic until I was around 8 when we went to a Pentecostal church and have been apart of the Church since. My dad left us when I was five years old and I struggled for a long time with trusting him but living in poverty and then my mom joining the military to take care of us-I knew all I could do was trust Him no matter what and He would sustain us. I couldn’t imagine going through anything without Christ. Now, being a wife and mother I need Him more and more. Our family has been through so much and, even though I would love all the explanations, I’ve learned more and more to trust His character.
Philosophy of Education
As a homeschool mom and former teacher, I believe critical thought is crucial and having a biblical foundation to form our critical thought is the best way to begin education. Education forms minds and those minds eventually shape culture and society.
Familiar since we’ve considered Classical Conversations -we never did in-class but instead have done some at-home lessons with it. We read a lot as a family and communicate about interests or curiosities which sparks wonderful conversations and lessons as well.
