Very Well

Looking Ahead

What should we continue to strengthen?
Community (school events)
Positive Peer Pressure (expectations to get work done)
What's one area we could improve?
Ben has mentioned that many students “didn’t read the book” or “didn’t do the math.” He may be misunderstanding, but from his perspective it seems reasonable and accepted to only complete the work you choose. It feels like there should be both an expectation and a desire among students to “hit the mark,” so to speak. When Ben was behind at his old school, there was a self-respect and desire to "keep up" and excel... I dont see this culture. I know its a balance of grace and meeting families where they are at but maybe something to ponder of how to level up expectations.
Additional comments
I would love to help continue to build community. I love the house concept but maybe we could add some larger family events to create across family relationships. I think with car pick-up and drop of there is no elbow rubbing or face recognition so some extra events could help grow family relationships.
