Ch 2.3 Organic Molecules

We delve into the molecules of life: Proteins, Lipids, Carbohydrates, Nucleic Acids. We will do our Surface Area vs. Volume hands-on activity to introduce 2.4 on Cell size. The "Let's Talk About: Cell Surface Area (why are cells so small?)" feature on p 42 gets into it.

Please bring your paper blocks to class!

I will also give students a double sided worksheet to label for plant and animal cells for Friday's work. I will attached the worksheet and answer key on the assignment
