Ch 2.2 Short Chemistry Lesson: Part 2

We continue to collect data from our first activity: measuring bean growth in light and dark. We will eventually graph/analyze our data and write our analysis and conclusion statements.

Ch 2.2 continues with more of the chemistry of biology, introducing molecules and compounds, chemical formulas, and the characteristics of water.

I have given the students a two sheets to cut out at home to make blocks of different sizes. We will use these blocks to talk about surface area vs. volume, something that is very important in a cell. Please have them bring them to class on Wednesday. I have attached an electronic copy tomorrow's assignment.
