Secondary Color Animals – Continent Project (In-Class)
Assignment Description
In today’s class, Kindergarten students will continue building their color theory knowledge by focusing on secondary colors (green, orange, and purple).
Each student will be coloring their assigned continent animals in solid secondary colors, practicing neatness and staying within the lines.
These animals will later be pasted onto their continent drawings for the final project presentation on Thursday, September 25.
We will also review the difference between primary and secondary colors to reinforce understanding.
Students will work in a focused, quiet environment with instrumental music to help build creativity, attention, and fine motor skills.
Note: Most students will complete their work during class time. If a student is unable to finish all of their secondary color animals, they will bring their work home to complete and return on Tuesday, September 23 when they come to school so we can begin assembling the final continent artwork.
