Assignment Description
In-Class Plan:
Students will arrive prepared with their 6 completed 3-Line Composition sketches.
Each student will select the strongest composition and scale it up onto a large sheet of paper.
Using their planned color palette, they will paint their final project during class.
Students will have 20 minutes of studio time to complete their large-scale composition.
Any unfinished color wheel work may also be completed during this time.
Assignment:
- Bring in your 6 completed 3-line composition sketches.
- Choose your best composition and transfer it to a large sheet of paper.
- Paint your composition with your chosen color harmony, demonstrating planning, intentionality, and craftsmanship.
- If time remains, complete or refine your color wheel.
- Final painted compositions will be presented on 9/24, alongside student narration of their palette choices.
