-Discuss the continuing implications of the Fugitive Slave Act
-Discuss how the issue of a transcontinental railroad continued to exacerbate the slavery/territory issue. (If built in the North, would empower abolition. If built in the South, would empower slavery. If built in such a way to cross slave and free states, would create state law turmoil.)
