Literacy Essentials In Class

In class today, we started introducing Spelling word List D.at, ate, on, sit, site, run, & in were introduced from List D.Students practiced writing each word on lined paper.New 2-letter phonemes were introduced as well: ck and ea.The Plural noun s rule was introduced. Students came up with their own sentences that integrated this rule as well as reviewed previous grammar concepts. Students learned how to form a question mark and learned that it is used at the end on interrogative sentences.We then reviewed all of our spelling words up to this point leaving out List A because it has already been tested on. You may still continue to review it at home though!We emphasized List B to prepare for the reading test this Thursday at home!
