Project: My own seal
Assignment Description
At home, talk with your parents about what values are important for your family. We will use these answers on Monday 12/15 to help you make a seal that represents your family, and then add elements that represent you. It will be your personal seal. Questions to ask: - Where is our family from? What countries or regions are important for our family? - What are some of the most important values for our family? (for example: Faith, courage, honesty, perseverance...) - Is there a job or profession that has been in the family for more than one generation? - If your family had a motto, what would it be? You can look at some meanings of heraldry symbols in the following websites, as well images of what those symbols could look like. On Monday I'll have a guide for us to use and pick from if you were not able to do that today. There are a lot of symbols but don't get overwhelmed! Focus on the family values, and if you already know what types of animals or plants you want to add, look at those.
