Assignment Description
- Students will share the questions based on the painting in class, then we will talk about Caravaggio's painting. I will talk briefly about symbolism vs realism in art and pictures, and where this painting stands on that (a mix, with symbolic elements) vs. where the pictures we'll use for composition stand in that spectrum (icons/diagrams in literalism).
- We will look at the 3 paragraph structure to follow in this Unit. After we look at it we'll start developing a KWO for a chosen "source text".
- To describe an event, we use the 'big six' questions: Who, What, When, Where, Why, How.
