1- Major Events in the Colonies - The Magna Carta

•This content marks the beginning of Unit 1: Lesson 4 - The Major Events in the Colonies. In order to understand the blossoming idea of self-government in the colonies, we must look back to an even earlier event in England: The Magna Carta.

-Why did these ideas become so important?
-Which of the protections do you think was the most important? Which one had the most profound impact?
•Create: There were originally 63 clauses/articles in the Magna Carta that protected the rights of the barons and the citizens. Create/write out your own one-sentence clause/article that you feel could have been or should have been included!
