Assignment Description

  1. DUE 10/23: If you did not complete last week’s homework, use the Unit 4 model, create a KWO for the first two topics. Be sure to include a clincher!
  2. Pick your 3RD topic from the 3 identified on Tuesday. Remember, you are using one of the following source texts: “African Ostrich” “Southern Cassowary” “Mike the Headless Chicken” “Captain Cook”
  3. Read the entire source, identifying INTERESTING, IMPORTANT, or RELEVANT facts to the 2ND topic. Underline, highight or use a sticky tab to indicate these facts.
  4. Choose 5 - 7 facts ONLY and write a KWO on the 3RD topic.
  5. Use the "topic-clincher" rule.
