Assignment Description
Today in Literature, students read The Iliad Book 15 and explored how the gods’ emotions—anger, pride, and jealousy—shape human destiny. They compared divine flaws with human weaknesses, asking which causes more harm and what that reveals about power and virtue. Through discussion and reflection, students contrasted Homer’s flawed gods with the holiness and justice of the biblical God, considering how different views of authority and emotion influence how people live and hope.
