Faith & Philosophy

We are both believers in Jesus Christ and were raised in Christian homes where faith was modeled as an active, lived commitment rather than simply a set of beliefs. As adults, our faith continues to shape how we approach family life, relationships, and daily decisions. We are faithful members of The Bridge Church in Spring Hill, where we value biblical teaching, worship, and living out our faith within community. At home, we seek to cultivate a Christ-centered environment through prayer, reading Scripture together, and encouraging our children to grow in both knowledge of God and love for others. Our desire is for our children to see faith as integrated into all of life, not compartmentalized, and to grow in wisdom, character, and humility as they follow Christ.

Our primary reason for seeking admission to Saints Classical Academy is our desire for an education that forms both the mind and the heart. We are drawn to the classical model and Saints Classical’s Christ-centered approach, where faith is integrated into learning and students are taught to pursue truth, goodness, and beauty while developing strong character and virtue. We also value the tutorial model, which aligns with our belief that parents are the primary educators and allows us to partner closely with teachers in our child’s formation. Ultimately, we hope our children grow in wisdom, love of learning, and a deepening faith in Jesus Christ, and we believe Saints Classical Academy is well aligned with that vision.

We seek to incorporate our faith into our family’s daily life through intentional rhythms and habits. We pray together regularly, especially at family meal times, attend church faithfully, and read Scripture together as a family, using those moments to talk about how following Jesus shapes our attitudes, choices, and relationships. We also practice Sabbath by intentionally slowing down, resting from distractions, and prioritizing worship, family time, and gratitude, helping our children learn that life with Christ is not driven by hurry but by trust and faithfulness. Our aim is to be with Jesus, become more like Him, and order our family life around His truth and love in both ordinary and meaningful moments.

As parents of four children, our hope is that an educational partnership with Saints Classical Academy would support the formation of each child academically, spiritually, and socially in a Christ-centered community. Academically, we desire a strong foundation in reading, writing, and critical thinking, and a love of learning rooted in the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty. Spiritually, we pray our children would grow in wisdom, character, and a faith that is integrated into all of life, reinforced by the habits and values we cultivate at home. Socially, we hope they are known, challenged, and supported within a community that encourages meaningful friendships, accountability, and service to others. Ultimately, we desire Saints Classical to partner with our family in helping our children grow into thoughtful, faithful, and well-formed individuals who engage the world with confidence and grace.

Our understanding of Christian, classical education is that it forms the whole child by grounding learning in a biblical worldview and the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty. The classical model emphasizes age-appropriate learning through the grammar, logic, and rhetoric stages, helping students not only gain knowledge but learn how to think clearly and communicate well. We value that faith is integrated into every subject, shaping character and wisdom alongside academic growth, and ordering education toward loving God and serving others.

Our parenting philosophy is rooted in Scripture and focused on discipling our children to love God, grow in wisdom, and develop Christlike character. We seek to lead with grace and consistency, modeling faith, repentance, and love, while teaching responsibility and perseverance. We believe parenting is best lived within Christian community and value partnering with our church, school, and other families in the formation of our children.
