Faith & Philosophy
Both my husband and I grew up as presbyterian pastors children. We both fell in love with Jesus for ourselves in our late teens and early 20's. We ended up serving as worship pastor and on staff at a non-denominational charismatic church for 15 years in Michigan. We have raised our family with Christ and the worship of Christ as the center of our family. We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the importance of body of Christ as central to our lives.
The kids have always attended a classical hybrid program in Michigan and this past year attended in Nolensville. We live in Spring Hill and are looking for a school much closer for the kids.
- Church is very important to us, we attend on Sundays, kids attend youth group. - Hosting gatherings and families into our home for supper, conversations and worship. - Pray together as a family about things happening in our lives or decisions that have to be made. - Song write, worships is often playing in our home.
-We believe in a solid biblical education for our children where the curriculum is chosen with a biblical world view and the Bible is incorporated into their education. -For the kids to meet friends that live locally and they are able to connect with them outside of school. -For our children to be excellent communicators and to critically think through things not just going with status quo.
Contains three levels (not necessarily following typical grade levels). Includes grammar, logic and rhetoric levels. Strong in history and literature and in logic and critically thinking. The education tends to be well rounded often including language, arts and music.
We do discipline and set boundaries but we also believe strongly in seeing each child's point of view and discussions are important to us. We have not been people that stick strictly to a clock for every activity of a day though believe in keeping commitments, ensuring we are communicating and expressing love and care to one another.

Scarlet Baliad 8th Grade → 9th
location
Very sweet, somewhat shy, she loves to sing and play bass, just joined worship band. She is into hair styling and working on writing a novel.
Over the years it has been challenging to get her to do what she hasn't been interested in but she has grown a lot this past year. She does get straight A's but prefers subjects where she can express her creativity. She gets her work done independently with very little need for reminder. She has a strength in memorizing and is a visual learner.
She will get sad. She doesn't push back often.
She loves to sing and has no problem singing in front of people, has led chapel worship many times but with public speaking she gets very nervous.
Alfredo Baliad (Fredo) 7th Grade → 8th
Location
He has a lot of energy and is very interested in sports, plays baseball and basketball. He loves strategy games and likes to challenge anyone who will take him on in a game of chess or in a sport (he is very competitive). He seems to have friends and is known wherever he goes.
Prefers to work with other people and in learning settings were he has human interaction. Needs redirection at times when at home. He enjoys science and likes charts and statistics. He is an audio/kinetic learner.
Depends on the situation, he can push back or get angry but often sorry for his actions.
He needs outdoor time and activity throughout the school day.
