Faith & Philosophy

Eric grew up in the Methodist church and received his Eagle through the Boy Scouts of America, Leslie grew up in a nondenominational church and the Catholic church. Upon moving to Spring Hill in our early 30s we started being more intentional with out faith and began attending Southview. Over the years we have been growing in our faith and relationship with God.

While we love the school that Karlie currently attends the school day is extremely long, of which we were unaware. Both ourselves and our children have noticed the negative impact this has had on our family unit and the time we have together. We wish to have more time with her and continue to invest in her education and social interactions with those her age.

We say prayers daily and have been listening to more Christian music. We have been changing what we consume through media to align more with our beliefs. Our children are being raised to care for one another and to help those in need.

We wish for Karlie to continue to thrive and excel academically and learn to think critically. We hope she continues to develop the skills and confidence to work with others and admit when she needs help. While Karlie has an understanding of God we would like to make it a larger part of her life and help her build a stronger relationship with Him.

It focuses on enabling children through objective truth and give them an environment where they can learn, discover, and play.

We believe that our children are capable of anything and encourage them to try everything. We love to try new experiences and get out into nature. We believe in positive reinforcement and giving them choices and that all choices have consequences.

The school day is extremely long, We though it would be at least an hour shorter than it is. The length of the school day has had a negative impact on our home life. Screens are used for alot of filler time.

Karlie is a sensitive, caring, intelligent, unyielding child. She loves all things pink, purple, and sparkly. She likes to craft, bake, pretend play, pick flowers, and go mudding.

Karlie is excelling at math and reading. She does homework right after school and tends to try and do it as fast as she can. Karlie is a hard worker and struggles when she doesn't excel at something.

Karlie struggles when she doesn't understand why and requires very explicit reasons for why her behavior needs to change.

She loves learning and helping people
