Faith & Philosophy
I’ve been in church all my life. I have heard from God throughout my life even as a child. But we are hungry for so much more. We are learning so much about our identity and authority in Christ. Gods healing power. We want to be fulling the call on our life. I’m learning it’s all about abiding. As we abide in the Lord, let go of the cares of this world, then the Lord can do amazing things in our lives.
My primary reason is a Christ-centered education with more parent involvement. I love the 3 days as I want more time with my son. I know many people who go there and that is a major plus for me. It gives it a family feel.
One recent example: my kids were getting ready to play in the snow. We couldn’t find a glove. I said hey let’s ask Jesus to help us find and we asked the Lord together. A couple of minutes later we found it. Crazy thing is that glove had been missed or a while. Uriah has a “boy devotional” he loves it. Talks about leadership which he loves. Uriah is big on not being sick. We have written down healing scriptures that we go over and we talk about how Jesus heals. A preacher I’ve been listening to said find God through nature and give him glory and thanks. I started incorporating this when we’re outside.
My goals and hopes academically is that he will continue to love learning and grow in academic knowledge. My goals and hopes spiritually is that he will continue to build biblical understanding, wisdom and knowledge. My goals and hopes socially would be for him to build lasting friendships. He is friends with Amy’s son so he will have that connection already.
My understanding of Christian classical education is that is it Christ-centered. Academics are taught through biblical standards.
I believe in a lot of redirecting. Making things positive. I also grab ideas and strategies from Christian parenting books.

I want more time with him and to be more involved. I want the belief in Jesus to be more closer to what we believe. Example, that Jesus heals and miracles can still happen.
He loves being a leader. He makes himself the leader in the things he watches. Like in Ninja Turtles he’s always Leo because Leo is the leader. He is very affectionate and enjoys teaching his little sister. He is an animal lover. We have 2 little dogs and 5 chickens. He loves coloring, we go through crayons fast. He’s basically all boy. Loves anything to do with a ball. One of his favorite places to go is Tenn Pin. He loves going to all his friends birthday parties.
He loves learning and it is important for him to not be behind. I have never had an issue with homework. He gets it out of his folder and we work on it together. But recently he knows what to do so he gets his work done on his own. He enjoys it. I hear the same experiences from his teachers.
He first went to Spring Meadows for preschool then CA for pre-K. So yes he has had disciplinary action for another school.
No, he has not.
He will follow through with what I am saying even if there might be hesitation at first. He is very responsive to talks.
He’s just all boy and fun.
